Next up for Stirling Airsoft is the Op: Culverin Combat Mission on November 12th & 13th and then it’s just a few weeks until this year’s England Vs Scotland airsoft event at Catterick, Op: Archer.  Our impartial judge recently held the coin toss to decide on uniforms for the teams at Op: Archer with the result that Scotland will be in DPM/Green/Temperate Camouflage and the English side will be in Desert/Tan/Multicam uniforms.

We’ll have more news about Op: Archer in the weeks leading up to the game and don’t forget to join us on Facebook and Twitter to stay up to date with all the latest news and connect with other players who’ll be coming to the game (as well as all those who’ll be cheering on England and Scotland from the sidelines).

Hot on the tail of last weekend’s Op: Morpheus event at Catterick here is Reynolds Films‘ brand new trailer for the DVD of the game.

The weather wasn’t as great as we’ve been used to in previous years for our June games at Catterick, so the game took on a slightly slower, more tactical pace as Coalition forces patrolled the township of Koro Toro in Chad in search of the DBR’s local commander Lokis Tahri.

Despite the poor weather we’ve had a lot of really positive feedback from players on our Facebook page and it’s great to know that people enjoyed themselves and got into the spirit of the event.

Our good friends at Reynolds Films have just released the brand new trailer for the upcoming DVD from Stirling Airsoft‘s recent airsoft combat mission, Operation: Hawkeye.

Following on from last year’s Op: Mustang Combat Mission, which saw a search and rescue team from Task Force Black sent into the Bousso region of Chad to retrieve VIPs from a helicopter crash, Op: Hawkeye focussed on Task Force Blue working in conjunction with the KGB National Army to clear insurgent DBR Fighters from Bousso.

DVDs for Op: Hawkeye and all of Stirling Airsoft’s other events can be ordered by emailing Matt Belgrove at matt@stirlingairsoft.com.

Don’t forget to check out our other upcoming airsoft games like this month’s combat mission, Op: Storm King, which will feature helicopter insertions into the combat zone, and our very special event, Op: Murabit at the Army’s Stanford Training Area (STANTA) at the end of July.  Of course we’ll also have our usual airsoft games at Copehill Down and Catterick as well, so there’ll be plenty of missions to keep you busy this summer.

Op: Tempest at Copehill Down was a huge success and we’ve had loads of positive feedback from players on the Stirling Airsoft Facebook Page.  As usual our good friend Stephen Reynolds from ReynoldsFilmsDotCom has put together a feature length DVD of the event and we’ve got the trailer right here for you to see.

Our next airsoft event is the Op: Whalers Combat Mission on 25th & 26th of September.  Op: Whalers follows on from April’s Op: Redwing Combat Mission.

We’ve also got an airsoft training day coming up on September 5th and will be returning to Catterick FIBUA Village on October 16th & 17th for Op: Kryton, our next Modern Warfare Themed Event.

Don’t worry if you didn’t make it to Copehill Down for the game this year, we’ve been able to (tentatively) book two dates for games at Copehill Down in 2010.  Please bear in mind that these dates haven’t yet been officially confirmed so keep your eye on the Stirling Airsoft Blog for news and updates as well as more details about the games themselves as and when it becomes available.

 I’ve just spotted this announcement over on the RedWolf Airsoft Blog.  They’re holding a competition for airsoft video makers to film an advert for them, with the promise of some great looking prizes for the best submissions.

You can read the full details and requirements for competition entries here but the short version is that you have to make a short video advert (under 3 minutes) promoting RedWolf Airsoft, upload it to YouTube and submit the video to RedWolf before July 31st.  The judges will pick the 20 best videos and voting will then be open to the public until August 15th.

First Prize is an Inokatsu Mk43.  This will be the video that get’s the most thumbs up on the competition’s page on YouTube.

There will also be prizes for the most entertaining video (a DeepFire M4 MRF-CX) and the most creative video (a Systema TW5A4 PTW).  These winners will be decided by the judges at RedWolf.

So, if you’re the creative, airsoft video making type (Leroy and Sera, I’m looking in your general directions) why no have a go at making a video and entering it into the competition?
